چکیده

This paper presents tip-grasp experiences with a robotic hand with three 1 dof anthropomorphic fingers of human sizes. The last prototype of LARM Hand built at LARM in Cassino is illustrated as a low-cost easy-operation design. Cylindrical-grasp experiences have been previously carried out in order to compare the force measure results with the force results that are measured during the tip-grasp experiences. Tip-grasp experiences have been developed by using specific grasping strategies and they have been carried out successfully for a suitable easy-operation of the LARM Hand.

Design and tests of a three finger hand with 1-DOF articulated fingers

This paper presents the design of a new low-cost, easy operation hand having three 1 dof anthropomorphic fingers with human size. Experimental results on human cylindrical grasping have been used for designing a 1 dof anthropomorphic finger having human size. The mechanical design of this finger has been mainly focused on a suitable articulated mechanism. This mechanism transmits the power to t...

A Dexterous Manipulation Example with the New RoBioSS Hand

This paper presents a methodology to perform a fine manipulation task with an anthropomorphic hand. We focus here on a three-finger precision grasp. The robotic hand used is the latest four finger fully actuated hand developed by the RoBioSS team of PPRIME institute. Different steps ranging from the generation of the contact points of the hand with the object to the experimental realization of ...

Optimization Anthropomorphic Tendon-driven Robotic Hands Can Exceed Human Grasping Capabilities following Anthropomorphic Tendon-driven Robotic Hands Can Exceed Human Grasping Capabilities following Optimization

How functional versatility emerges in vertebrate limbs in spite of their anatomical complexity is a longstanding question. In particular, fingers are actuated by numerous muscles pulling on tendons following intricate paths. In contrast, the tendon-driven robotic hands with intuitive tendon routings preferred by roboticists for their ease of analysis and control do not perform at the level of t...

Determining Force-Closure Grasps

The paper presents an approach to find contact points on an object surface that are reachable by a given hand and such that the resulting grasp satisfies the force-closure condition. This is a very common problem that still requires a practical solution. The proposed method is based on the computation of a set of independent contact regions on the object boundary such that a finger contact on e...

Development of Anthropomorphic Prosthesis Hand H and Its Control

This paper proposes H, an anthropomorphic prosthesis hand with 5 fingers and human hand size. It consists of the combination of direct actuated and underactuated system for a dexterous grip. The H also has modularized 2 DOF of MCP mechanism in a thumb for power grip. The adduction-abduction and antepositon-retroposition movements are generated by this structure of thumb which is the function of...
